Social Media and Community Manager

Position Description

Kite Hill is looking for an experienced SOCIAL MEDIA AND COMMUNITY MANAGER to guide the strategy and be the voice of the brand across all digital platforms. This person lives and breathes the values of the Kite Hill brand and has a deep knowledge of & passion for social media. This person will thrive on engaging with our online community, cultivating new Kite Hill followers and converting them to be loyal consumers. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the natural foods / healthy lifestyle space and desires to work for a fast-growing, emerging brand that is a pioneer in the plant-based dairy revolution.

Primary Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Develop content strategy and manage monthly content calendar in partnership with marketing team and digital agency
  • Write and publish regular, engaging content, compelling social campaigns, posts, and other content across all platforms; Photography and copy-writing skills a plus!
  • Grow social following in our key target segments
  • Manage, monitoring SEO and web traffic metrics, proactively making recommendations and updates to improve performance
  • Guide and support development and execution of paid digital media strategy (Google Adwords campaign, etc.) in partnership with digital agency

Community Management

  • Engage with and nurture the Kite Hill community on-line
  • Proactively communicate with our audience, responding to inquiries in a timely manner and monitoring customer reviews
  • Track and respond to complaints / inquiries / concerns, funneling to appropriate KH team members as-needed
  • Develop and activate brand partnerships with like-minded brands on social
  • Nurture relationships with influencers to amplify KH brand
  • Manage contract negotiations with Influencers / Partners, ensuring achievement of success metrics, all within budget guidelines.
  • Build and oversee execution of Brand Ambassador Program with Kite Hill enthusiasts to spread the word about our brand & products
  • Develop “Surprise & Delight” programs/activations to build brand affinity & loyalty


  • Be the voice of the Kite Hill “fan” internally, to help shape on-going brand & marketing strategies
  • Innovate and iterate on existing social strategies to ensure a best-in-class social experience for Kite Hill fans and followers
  • Be a proactive member of the Kite Hill marketing team through collaboration, communication, and best-practice sharing & idea cross-pollination to build a smarter and stronger marketing organization.

Candidate Profile

  •  2-3 years of relevant experience in a digital / social capacity preferably in consumer goods and / or health & wellness space
  • A BA/BS degree emphasizing sales, marketing or other relevant field
  •  Extensive knowledge of social media marketing programs & platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google Adwords, Google Analytics)
  •  Comfort with Microsoft Office and Google suite
  • Knowledge and focus on analytics and ROI
  • Passionate about social media, content marketing, and building the Kite Hill brand
  • Creative thinker and exceptional communicator
  • Initiative to drive change in a quickly evolving space
  • Demonstrate ability to interact with all levels & areas of an organization
